COBRI is a residential architecture and design studio based in California’s Bay Area, specializing in custom homes, renovations/additions, and ADUs/JADUs, with services spanning design, permitting, and construction support.
Our work is rooted in clarity, light, and precise detailing—opening up existing homes, reshaping roof volumes, and creating additions that feel seamless with what came before. We guide clients from feasibility and design through permitting and construction support, delivering buildable drawings, coordinating consultants, and staying engaged through construction to protect the intent. When desired, we assemble and manage a trusted team for a one-stop, turnkey process that keeps decisions aligned and the experience calm.

Team Code Brick
Team Code Brick(TCB) is a group of independent architects, designers and engineers, who come together under the era of social progress and innovation of technology, to facilitate and maximize designer's potential. Events are hosted to share, spread and even pitch ideas based on internal interest and emerging technology innovation around silicon valley.
Untamed perspective, independent exploration and open design community are our core values. TCB originated from a balcony event with architects and designers in California Bay Area, 2015. And it has evolved into a practice community with shared interests in contemporary society.
Yi (Eason) Yuan
Yi (Eason) is the founder of COBRI. With 10+ years of experience, he has participated in and led projects across scales—from early planning through detailed documentation and construction-phase coordination. His approach is hands-on and rigorous: clear concept, clear drawings, and thoughtful detailing that supports real daily life.
As an architect and designer, Yi collaborates with and beyond a team of active professionals—architects, engineers, builders, and makers—who share a curiosity for innovation in housing and building technology. He is consistently experimenting with new tools and methods to improve performance, constructability, and clarity, while keeping the work grounded in craft, livability, and long-term value.
